An unusual view, taken through the tattered remnants of 1 The Square, Beatrice Astle’s hairdressers attached to Glasspools the Chemist, looking across to 4 The Square, known as Lord Leycesters Lodge.

This end of the building was taken down but the rest of it survived until the 60s. The damage to number 4 is quite evident and resulted in its eventual demolition.
